The New Covenant Literal Application Code (NCLA) is an interpretive guide used by the authors to indicate which person categories a mitzvah applies to, and at what level of literal compliance.

Rabbi Michael Rudolph
The Scriptures underlying this Mitzvah list only certain female family members, whereas this Mitzvah itself is written so as to include individuals of both sexes and their close family members. Classical Commentators: Maimonides, Meir, and HaChinuch wrote their mitzvot to prohibit having sexual relations with the persons listed in Leviticus 18:17 . A woman and her sister while the sister is still alive (listed in Leviticus 18:18 ) is included in this Mitzvah but is not dealt with by the three classical commentators.
